Illerstausee round

In Ferthofen, to the left before the Iller bridge, a staircase leads down to the power plant outflow. Between the steep riverbank and the reservoir shore, an idyllic footpath (partly trail) runs along the edge of the forest to the next power plant at the Iller reservoir near Kardorf. Numerous gnawed trees indicate the presence of beavers. Along the northern dam, a meadow path leads up to Kardorf and from there on a scarcely traveled road east to the "Ferthofer Wald." Relaxing it goes on forest paths through the municipal foundation forest again back to the road to Ferthofen, where a well-deserved snack is possible at the end.
