Just before the Unterhofalm, the Wastl-Lackner Trail No. 612 branches off to the left toward the Hofpürglhütte. It immediately crosses a stream and then winds its way up through alpine meadows, a strip of larch trees, a belt of mountain pine, and a field of alpine roses to the Hofpürglhütte. A few minutes before reaching the hut, our route veers right into a scree basin and, after a rise in the terrain, reaches a trail junction. To the left, the path first leads over a lot of scree and then, toward the end, over rope-secured rock ledges to the Steigl Pass, returning along the same path. Heading east, the Linz Trail No. 601 offers a very varied route, first across a terrace, then up and down several ridges and gullies to a large scree field, which is followed by the meadows of the Rinderfeld (trail junction). Here we keep to the right and ascend through sparse larch woods to an enchanting clearing (meandering stream of the Warme Mandling) and, beyond that, through the forest and across
