We begin the hike around the Högl on the panoramic path west of Högler Straße in the direction of Anger. The path offers a dreamlike view of Fuderheuberg and Hochstaufen, leading us along the edge of the forest past the Gasthaus Sonnenhang to Moosbacherau. Afterwards, we hike via Prasting to the Gasthaus Strobl Alm (closed on Saturdays!), where after about two hours one can enjoy the fantastic view of the surrounding mountain world extending to the Steinernes Meer.
From the Strobl Alm, the path leads through the forest, past the lovingly renovated small monument "Haasn-Taferl" and the Högl quarry, to Hotel Neubichler Alm and further to Johannishögl with a guesthouse, church, and a unique view of Salzburg. From Johannishögl, the path descends to Rohrbrunner Straße and back to the starting point.
