Hochfirst Loop

The pilgrimage church of Maria vom Berge Karmel in Mussenhausen, the starting point of the Hochfirst loop, is known regionally and visible from afar. From Mussenhausen, the circular trail first leads north to Erisried, from where you can enter the extensive Hochfirst forest area. Especially in autumn, when the leaves change color and the forests slowly clear, the Hochfirst is a very worthwhile destination. Since the forest area also features long climbs (up to 700 m above sea level), it has been discovered by ambitious Nordic walkers who created the AOK Nordic Walking course Sontheim. On our circular hike, there are also some elevation meters to overcome.
