The tour starts in the west of El Chaltén, where we set off on one of the most famous hiking trails in Los Glaciares National Park. Our destination is Laguna Torre at the foot of the striking Cerro Torre (3,128 m), whose vertical granite walls regularly attract mountaineers from all over the world. Cerro Torre is one of the most challenging mountains for mountaineers due to its vertical, smooth granite walls, which are mostly covered in mushroom ice in the upper section, and because of the often extreme weather conditions. During the ascent, we are constantly gazing at the spectacular glacier and mountain scenery, accompanied by the Fitz Roy glacier river. The path initially runs through sparse southern beech forest, then changes to open terrain with terminal moraines formed by glaciers of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. After just under two hours, we reach the first impressive viewpoint, the Mirador Cerro Torre, from which the entire Valle Fitz Roy and the peaks of Cerro Torre,
