The 4th stage on the Green Belt is all about "relaxation" - the just 11 km long route connects 2 of the most beautiful spa towns in the former border region. Bad Rodach and Bad Colberg are idyllically nestled in the southern foothills of the Thuringian Forest, at the gates of the Rhön and Franconian Forest.

At the end of the 3rd stage, a visit to the ThermeNatur in Bad Rodach is worthwhile in the evening. It is open until 9 p.m., even longer on Fridays and Saturdays. Here, the weary border traveler will find a temple of relaxation. Tired hiking feet are regenerated here just as much as the mind, before the next stage goal.

The route itself leads from Bad Rodach via the Luther Trail up to the Henneberger Warte with its observation tower. The first thirst can be quenched at the St. Georgenberg guesthouse. Through dense forest, it goes past the Bratwurst Oak up to Hohenstein and down the patrol road to the deserted village of Billmuthhausen. Not far away still stands one of the watchtowers from the times of the Iron Curtain. Today, bats inhabit the concrete block. Through the beautiful Rodach meadows, you soon reach the destination of this short half-day stage. Passing the brewery, you soon reach the Bad Colberg Spa and the spa park. A visit to the Rangerhof is recommended. Here you can not only stay overnight. The homemade cuisine in the Thuringian-Franconian style is also well known throughout the town.

For overnight stays, we recommend the Hotel Landgasthaus zum Seysingshof.
