Hike Between Sauveté and Bastide

A-From the multipurpose hall, pass in front of the gymnasium. Pass the cemetery on the left. Follow the D83 for 350m. Turn right onto a gravel path for 300m. Turn left onto a grassy path and continue straight towards the Lézert valley. Leave the hamlet of Soulages on the left.

1-At the D997 turn left. After crossing the Lézert turn right onto the small road to the Causse mill. Take the road for 300m. Turn left onto the old “côte vieille” leading to Sauveterre. (Allow 1h for the bastide visit).

2-After the visit, return to the town circuit, south side. Pass in front of the community hall then take a path on the left running alongside the building. Descend towards the valley by a hollow way up to the place called Montillard. Cross the stream (footbridge). Continue right along the stream to the confluence with the Vayre.

3-Continue left on the path that follows the Vayre. Then move away for 400m and join the small road going down to the Prade. Continue right, cross the stream. Climb up to the D997.

4-Turn left for 100m and turn right onto a grassy path which climbs up onto the plateau and rejoins the village of Naucelle.
