Easy alpine hike with a magnificent backdrop
From the parking lot, follow the forest road (No. 8). The marking is not always very clear on the first section, but you always stay on the well-maintained access road. The path leads over Gufl anegg, past a small weather cross, and soon offers the hiker a wonderful view of the Aferer and Villnöß Geisler – great spectacle for little effort. After just under an hour and one hundred meters of altitude gain, you reach the scenic Schatzerhütte (2000 m, managed) with its chalets. The path is suitable for strollers up to this point. If you do not want to stop for refreshments, stay on the forest road above the hut and follow No. 4 (then 17A) in an hour to the family-friendly, well-visited Rossalm (2200 m, managed). The descent to the Ski hut (parking) takes half an hour on trail No. 6.
