The Hexenstein and the Devil's Stone lie peacefully in the sunlight, but woe when night falls.
Many legends and eerie stories revolve around the two mighty stones that this hike passes by. The starting point is the parking lot in the Winnebachtal above Terenten. From here, heading north on the forest road marked 23, you reach the mentioned Hexenstein in 20 minutes. Continue following the forest road uphill and into the valley until after about three quarters of an hour, a goods road branches off to the right towards Hofalm. Follow this road uphill through several switchbacks until shortly before reaching Hofalm; the trail 5 A branches off to the right. This trail goes slightly up and down just above the treeline towards the south until you meet the access road leading to Obere Pertingeralm. Follow this now down to Pertingeralm (possibility to stop for refreshments, about 1 hour from the Hofalm branch). Follow the forest road marked 5 downhill, then turn onto the trail (always No. 5) down to the Devil's Stone. Continue on the trail and in a few minutes rejoin the forest road,
