Herzog-Jäger Path (variant)

From the station through Bismarckstraße down into the village (marked Blue Dot) - eastward (marked Red Dot) past the outdoor swimming pool into the Schaichtal - behind the Schaichtal barbecue hut you reach the Herzog Jäger Path - past Steigweiher pond to Walddorfer Brückle - here turn left up the historic hollow path and continue to the Blockhütte barbecue area - head north up to Bezenberg - then turn right following the signpost to the Knaupwiesen - westwards to the young cattle pasture - Eichenhof - turn left through the forest uphill to the Braunäcker orchard area - turn left along the forest edge (ignore the Herzog-Jäger Path marking) go straight ahead to Dettenhäuser Weg - here turn right and go to the Braunäcker hiking car park - cross the country road - down to Dettenhausen and follow the Blue Dot marking to the station.
