Herrnrast Panoramic View Loop

A picturesque panoramic view over the peaceful Ilm valley awaits us on this hike. We start at the parking lot of the sports center and follow the bike path. We use the crossing aid at the B13 to safely get to the opposite side. Passing under the railway underpass, we reach the parking lot of the Herrnrast pilgrimage church along a gently babbling stream.
This church rises on a gentle hill, surrounded by majestic deciduous trees. We stay on the path going straight ahead and walk along the game enclosure to the forest, where we turn left. Following the signs, we reach the main road and cross it. On the other side, we take the narrow path back to the field path, turn left there, and continue hiking along the village road to Entrischenbrunn.
The marked trail takes us through the forest and further along a field path, gently downhill. Ahead of us opens a wonderful view over the Ilm valley. Our tour leads into the Peter-Eich path, and we head back to the starting point.
