The route leads through the beautiful forests of the small town of Heldburg.
Over the 11 kilometers, you follow along the Kirchbach and the former Krebs river, the Kreck, back to Heldburg. The fortress above the town with the German Castle Museum is perfect for overlooking Heldburg and ending the hike. After the green nature in the forest, culture and history enthusiasts also get their money's worth here.

Roadbook
The route begins at the multi-generation house in Heldburg. From the "Old Station," it goes along the Kirchbach at waypoint 67, past the Feuerteich and the Rektorsteich to the Dreiherrenstein. There you turn left, then cross the country road at WP 62 and hike towards the Polendenkmal. The path goes several kilometers through forests and continues on the country road to a rest area with a beautiful view. From here, the path leads downhill to Einöd to the Shadow Creek Ranch.
On the left is the Kreck, which you follow upstream towards Heldburg. The small town, watched over by the proud fortress, is a visual delight. A stroll through the charming lanes offers a medieval picture-book setting. A detour to the Burgberg is worthwhile. The Heldburg fortress is a true fairy-tale castle. In good weather, you are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view from the 45-meter-high tower.
