Heavenly Route

The hike begins at the parking lot below the town hall in Hofstetten and initially passes the mill, forest lake, and outdoor swimming pool. Then it goes left across the street, up the hamlet to the first Heavenly Place - a seating area with a view of Hofstetten.

50 minutes after the start of the route, you reach the "forest playground" with swings, slide, seesaw, climbing tower, as well as benches and tables.

The path continues uphill to the "Fehrenbacher Cross" and after just under 2 hours you reach the "Schmalzenhof", where larger hiking groups can stop for a farmer's snack by prior arrangement (07832-2117).

45 minutes later awaits the second Heavenly Place - "Roser's Häldele". To reach this viewpoint, you have to make a detour at "Roserhansenhof" from the street: turn left, 500 m over the meadow, up to the small forest. Here, a wonderful view and a tree trunk with carved seats invite you to linger. On the same path back to the street, 25 minutes later you reach at the highest point of the route the third Heavenly Place: a covered seating area with benches and table. 

30 minutes further on foot, the fourth Heavenly Place offers a long tree trunk with comfortable carved seats to rest.

After another 30 minutes, the Hotel Munde/Restaurant Biereck invites you to a cozy stop on the terrace or in the dining room.

1.5 km further through the forest awaits the fifth Heavenly Place with a covered seating area and a beautiful view over the Tochtermannsberg. From now on, it goes continuously downhill towards Hofstetten.

At the bottom in the village, to conclude the hike, the inns "3 Schneeballen" and "Linde" as well as the "Bäckerei & Café Kaltenbach" offer various dishes and drinks for refreshment.
