Harbach Round, Variant A

We start the tour in the direction of Bornich. In front of the country inn "Nassauer Hof" we turn right into Brückenstraße and leave it again to the left after about 50 m.

At the edge of the village of Weisel, the signage leads us onto the paved "Schäfersgraben". We follow this until shortly before the Lower Harbach Mill, where the junction "Haus Bonn" is on the right. Here we follow the path to the Bornich water cabin, turn left and follow the course of the Harbach – past the fish ponds – to its source area. Directly to the right behind the fish ponds (approx. 300 m) are two remarkable old oak trees. One of them is the natural monument "Old Oak". Simply follow the additional signage.

We follow the signs and come onto Bucher Weg. Now we head back towards Weisel and arrive at the Lindenwiese at "Kräfter Weg".

We walk over the Lindenwiese past a small biotope parallel to the paved path until we meet it. Soon we cross Neupforter Straße and walk through Birkenweg to the Blücher monument.

We cross Altpforter Straße and arrive behind Hannott's restaurant along the Jahnstraße again to the starting point of our round.

Addendum February 2023:

Unfortunately, we had to realize that the signage on almost all paths has been "tampered" with. Signs have been torn down or smeared, posts pulled out and stolen, or reinstalled twisted.

At first, we tried to replace the missing signs, but now there is a lack of new signs and capacity to constantly walk the paths.

We therefore strongly recommend using navigation and looking at the map for hiking these routes.

The reasons for so much vandalism can only be speculated at this point.
