Harbach Loop, Variant C

We start the tour heading towards Bornich. In front of the country inn "Nassauer Hof" we turn right into Brückenstraße and leave it again after about 50 m to the left.

At the edge of the village of Weisel, the signage leads us to the paved "Schäfersgraben." We follow this only for a short distance and then immediately turn right behind a tool shed. At the Bornich water kiosk, we turn left and follow the path past "Haus Bonn" until we are back on the paved Schäfersgraben.

We continue downhill on this path to the Lower Harbacher Mill. Behind the mill, we follow the signs to a large crossroads. Here, variants B and C split.

For the slightly longer C variant, we continue straight ahead and reach the Krummebach stream. We turn right and walk parallel to the Krummebach. At one of the highest points in the municipality of Weisel shortly before the L337, we turn right and are on Bucher Weg.

We follow this to the Lindenwiese. We walk over the Lindenwiese, pass a small biotope parallel to the paved path until we meet it. Soon we cross Neupforter Straße and walk through Birkenweg to the Blücher monument.

We cross Altpforter Straße and reach Jahnstraße again behind Hannott’s restaurant, returning to the starting point of our loop.

Update February 2023:

Unfortunately, we had to notice that almost all path signage has been "manipulated." Signs have been torn down or vandalized, posts pulled out and stolen, or reinstalled twisted.

At first, we tried to replace the missing signage, but by now there are not enough new signs or resources to constantly inspect the trails.

We therefore strongly recommend using navigation and looking at the map during the hike.

At this point, one can only speculate about the motives for such vandalism.
