Roadbook
From the starting point, follow along Hasenberg through the Prüm valley into the Mehlen valley. On the way to Weinsfeld, we cross the Mehlenbach and turn right along the Mehlenbach until just before Niedermehlen. We leave the path and go left up a trail towards the natural monument "Juniper Area." From the juniper protection area, continue uphill over the hilltop "Warmendell" (542m) to the district road. Cross it and follow the farm road down into the Mönbach valley. Upon reaching the Mönbach valley, turn right and follow the forest trail along Herscheid to Sellerich. In Sellerich, a stop with snacks is planned in the community center.
From the community center, return to Hontheimer Straße and follow it along the reservoir and sports field until just before Hontheim. At the village entrance, go straight ahead to about 2 km away to the barbecue hut with water-treading pool and barefoot path. Then head half-right uphill through the Gippenheld, cross the access road to the Schneifel at the top, and follow the farm road along the "Wirbelkopf" (555.1m) downhill to the community center in Obermehlen. Turn left through the village street to the right junction. Here, cross the Litzenmehlenbach and follow the farm road uphill along the "Thomasberg" (520.2 m) to just before Gondenbrett. Now, turn right downhill to Brückenstraße and the station at the community center. Pass the church, cross the main road, and hike along a narrow path to the village exit. Here, follow a forest path steeply uphill to a shelter. To the left, continue along a forest path to the B 265, which you cross, and follow the access road to the hiking car park at the "Wolfsschlucht" ski area. The final section leads comfortably through the Tettenbusch downhill to the spa park and through it into the town to the stage destination at Hahnplatz.
