Half-timbered and rocks

The route starts right away with a real highlight: the Ebnether rock cellars. The rock formations in the forest are a great place to explore and scramble, linger, and picnic.

It's hard to tear yourself away, but eleven varied kilometers await you. Across the scenic Jura landscape, you initially follow the “Gottesgartenrunde Nord” (waymark: yellow towers on a blue background).

Later, the path (waymark: blue dot on a white background) leads into the historic center of Burgkunstadt. The town, which is particularly shaped by its past as a center of the shoe industry, has preserved its medieval charm to this day.
