GTA - Talosio to San Lorenzo di Piantonetto
The route starts after a short road section with a beautiful forest ascent, which then leads over alpine pastures to the ridge of Monte Arzola, offering a wide view of the surrounding mountains. This is followed by a descent to the Eugio reservoir. The reservoir was built in several stages from 1925 to 1962 and serves the electricity supply of Turin.
Then you climb again to a grass pass before the descent over meadows and through forest to San Lorenzo.

In summer, you should carefully manage your water supplies, as there is water only at a few points and the path is long and without shade.Tips and suggestions

From the bar, you climb directly to the church in the village, which you pass on the right. Behind the church, you pass through the archway of a house and come onto a meadow, where you ascend to the road on the left edge. You can follow the road through some switchbacks or cut these on marked but hard-to-see shortcuts.
Finally, you reach the place Posio. You leave it at the fountain on a well-marked path to the left (west). The path climbs along the slope. When the trees become sparser, you pass a rock, on the back of which presumably prehistoric rock carvings can be seen (see photo). Eventually, you reach Alpe Arzolo, 1797m (water).
A meadow path leads up to the ridge below Monte Arzola. There is a chapel on the left. The path leads up the ridge on the right (do not cross the slope to the visible buildings!), past the summit of Monte Arzola to Sella d’Oregge, 2175m. From here, you have a nice view of the reservoir.
You descend to the reservoir and cross below the dam to a staircase that takes you onto the dam. Below the nature park house at the reservoir, there is a tap.
You continue along the dam and descend a small natural road until a track to the right leads up a small river valley in serpentine. Where the track reaches the river, a path branches off to the right, leading up to the ridge. On the ridge, there is a park warden's house, on the back of which is a tap.
You cross into the next slope and soon pass a spring with a water catchment. You continue along the slope to Alpe Praghetta superiore, 2160m.
Shortly before the alp, the path indistinctly descends across the meadows. You reach a camper. Here, you need to keep slightly left to a group of trees. Here, the path again turns right and slowly becomes more visible.
You cross Alpe La Cà. Afterward, the path continues through the forest in tight switchbacks downward. At several ruins, paths branch off to the left, which you ignore. Only at 1180m does a path branch off left, which you take (if you miss the junction, you reach the road above the village). You quickly reach the edge of a pasture and continue to the first houses of San Lorenzo. You follow the path further downhill to the road. 100m uphill is the Posto Tappa.
