Roadbook
Coming from the roundabout at the bridge, walk past the church up Via Umberto I and turn right into a small street when you see the Alimentari at the end of the street. At the next opportunity, turn left up into the vineyard. Shortly after the last houses, the path turns right (north) and leads diagonally up the slope as a trail. You meet another trail coming up from Quincinetto. Follow the trail into the forest. The creek is not crossed. From here, the old mule track is well marked in red and white and leads up the mountain.
The small road is crossed several times. However, the path always leaves the road immediately. At the houses of Prehera (signpost), go up 20 m along a wall and turn briefly left. Then go straight up the mountain again.
At the chapel Santa Maria, keep to the slope (to the left of the driveable road to the road) and walk up the mule track between a river and the street. Follow a forest road briefly, then the path leads up to the street. 80 m further, you see a shelter. At this point, cross the river over a bridge and continue climbing.
The path touches the street once more and soon leaves the forest. Continue up over pastures until you reach the pastures of Scalaro. Turn left off the path to Scalaro to the already visible agritourism in about 200 m.

Public transport
Trenitalia serves Ivrea from Turin, Porta Susa in about one hour. From there, there is a connection to the train to Pont Saint Martin (20 minutes). From Pont Saint Martin, however, you then have to walk about an hour to the starting point of the route.
Alternatively, leave the station in Ivrea to the left in the direction of travel and take bus 265 directly to Quincinatto http://www.sadem.it/media/6343/000265.pdf. If you have enough transfer time, you should buy the bus ticket not on the bus but in the café at the stop. This saves €1 per ticket.
