From the Grundlehen parking lot in Ellmautal, the path first goes a bit steeper through the forest. Slowly the forest begins to thin and you walk over wonderful alpine meadows to the Weissalm. This centuries-old alpine pasture was restored between 1998 and 2001. At the original open fireplace, sour cheese is still produced today as it was generations ago, which together with sausage, bacon, Bündner meat, bread, or various spirits is produced directly on the farm or the alpine pasture. The whole hut is decorated with old tools. The view from the Weissalm to Grossarl is simply unique.
