Hike on the forest road and through the high forest to the Bachalm. Shortly before the Alm, you pass a "Marterl". As with many other alpine pastures, this Marterl invites you to say thank you. A little further on the left side stands a small hunting lodge. At the Alm, the dairy farmers are already waiting with homemade delicacies such as bread, butter, cheese, or bacon. For adults, there is a small glass of homemade schnapps and for children, a small stream where you can build very nice dams.

Hiking in the Großarl Valley

Roadbook

Drive by car on the Großarler state road towards Hüttschlag - turn right into Ebengasse in the Bach district. Parking available at the Untereben farm. Ascent on the forest road (No. 42) or on the hiking trail past the Hasler-Heimalm (not managed) through the high forest to the Bachalm, 1,535 m (approx. 2 hours) - back the same way.
