Bathing and spa treatments – a tradition as old as mankind itself. Also in Scheidegg in the Allgäu, this has been of great importance for decades. But did you know you can also enjoy wonderful hiking here? Our route leads through Scheidegg and the surroundings with 13 chapels, each a special treasure. They are connected by the large “Ecumenical Chapel Path”. But the landscape between the chapels is also beautiful. The Alpenfreibad, the high trail, the Roderbühl viewing mountain and the numerous meadows with wonderful flowers help you just let your soul dangle. In addition, you do something for your health. No wonder the path is also called “Path for body and soul”. By the way, the visitors of the spa climate resort Scheidegg in 2007 could hardly complain about lack of sunshine: 2167 hours of sunshine were recorded – as many as probably nowhere else in Germany. Was it because of the many chapels? In any case, the god of weather seems to be well disposed towards Scheidegg – which is good
