From the cable car mountain station at Schöckl down to Arzberg and Passail and up to the Teichalm.
From the Schöcklseilbahn mountain station, we hike over the north side of the mountain to Arzberg, where silver, later lead and zinc, were mined. Through the narrow Raab valley, we come into the Passail basin with the pretty market town. Here we leave the route of the Mariazellerweg and go via Hintertober to the Teichalm.

Markings: Mariazellerweg to Passail 06, 730, 100k
From Passail 753, 753a towards Hintertober
From the mountain station at Schöckl, we hike down well-marked paths to the Schöcklkreuz. We then follow the road to the Angerkreuz and continue along the road to Burgstall. We walk out the two hairpin bends in Burgstall and after 400 m reach a meadow where a somewhat hidden signpost indicates a turning. We follow the tracks across the meadow over a slight hump, then the path leads straight to the forest edge. We cross the Harbweg and continue following the path down until we pass a farm. On the road, we continue to the Meierhof and the Stubegg castle ruins. Directly at the junction to the Meierhof, a narrow hollow path leads down into the valley on the right, where we meet Gollerstraße among the houses. Here we go right, change sides of the creek at the bridge and come directly into the village of Arzberg with its church and show mine. For the onward route, we must go back briefly and then follow the road to the right towards Passail. We stay on the road, even if the Mariazellerweg branches off over a hill. Our next goal is the main square of Passail, from where we turn left to the parish church. We then go briefly on Fladnitzer Straße and turn right onto Lindenbergweg and Lorenzerweg, reaching the St. Anna chapel via a shortcut. Now we continue along Lindenbergweg deeper into the side valley, following marking 753 and take the forest path into the ravine of Toberbach. We walk to the end of the valley and climb quite steeply uphill until we can see the Teichalm on the other side from above. Unfortunately, we must now take the Teichalm road until we can switch to parallel paths by the Latschenhütte. Past the Teichalmsee, we walk to the Teichwirt.
