The Gamshütte is usually approached from Finkenberg, sometimes also from Ginzling via the well-maintained Georg Herholz Trail. Rather unusual, however, is a circular route over the Graue Platte, which is normally only crossed by hikers on the Berliner Höhenweg from or to the Friesenberghaus. In Ginzling, 985 m, we cross the bridge into the western part of Dornauberg and follow the signs behind the church uphill to the right. A meadow path leads straight into the forest. Mark Zahel
