Obermain-Jura
Narrow paths wind through meadows and forests, past idyllic streams and lakes. Time and again you will be surprised by wonderful views over the Upper Main valley.
The route starts in Marktzeuln with its beautiful half-timbered houses. After crossing the Rodach bridge and leaving the village behind, the path initially leads almost flat through the forest.
Then comes the ascent: you have to overcome just over 2.5 km and 90 meters of elevation until you reach the Graitzer Spitzberg. Once at the top, you are rewarded with a great view over the Upper Main valley, and a covered seating area invites you to have a picnic.
By the way, a stop at the chapel is worthwhile on the way: a place to catch your breath, rest, enjoy and reflect, and a great photo motif at any time of year.
From the Graitzer Spitzberg, the descent back to Marktzeuln follows.
