This varied high-altitude hike in the northern part of the Tannheimer Mountains has many fans. You travel at heights between 1600 and 1900 meters and always have an unobstructed view to the southwest. The first stop, the west shoulder of the Sefenspitze, turns out to be a particularly beautiful viewpoint. From there, the main peaks of the Tannheimer Mountains, the Gimpel, 2176 m, the Köllenspitze, 2238 m, and the Gehrenspitze, 2164 m, are impressively presented. After the shoulder, you then pass over picturesque grounds with rock blocks, small patches of meadow, and a mini-karst basin. Finally, you reach – partly through the forest – the tour’s destination, the Bad Kissinger Hut. Those with strong endurance can still climb the Aggenstein from there.
From the valley station of the Füssener-Jöchle-Bahn in Grän, you first take the gondola comfortably up to the mountain station, 1818 m, which is located directly at the Füssener Jöchle. From here, we hike on a wide path (signposted "Bad Kissinger Hütte, 414") uphill towards the northwest, past the Gamskopf and another small mountain station ("Jochalpe"). Higher up, we take a beautiful hiking trail to the left, traverse the south-facing dwarf pine slopes on it, and reach a scenic saddle, about 1900 m, west of the Sefenspitze. On the other side, we first descend somewhat steeply over the rock-strewn meadows and then hike comfortably to the beautifully located Sebenalpe, 1640 m. At the alp, we continue straight ahead and descend slightly to the lowest point of the high-altitude trail at about 1620 m. From here, we ascend again across the slopes and reach a signposted saddle (Böser Tritt, 1750 m) right along the ridge line. We follow the ridge further westward and reach after a few meters
