The GR 11 is a long and challenging high mountain crossing with a partly alpine character. Many stages lead through remote regions with rapid changes in weather, long ascents and descents, boulder terrain and only limited infrastructure. A good level of fitness, surefootedness, mountain experience and realistic stage planning are therefore essential. The weather, trail conditions and possible snowfields should be checked before each stage. Sufficient water, food, warm and waterproof clothing, navigation, a first aid kit and loaded means of communication should always be included in your luggage. In high alpine sections, additional equipment may be necessary depending on the time of year. If you are traveling alone, you should inform us in advance of your destination and schedule.Roadbook
