The Gösing is a wooded summit in the Naturpark Sierningtal. The nature park also includes the Flatzer Wand with its climbing garden and via ferrata and the Naturfreundehaus at Kranzstetten. The Fleischesser pine, some caves including the Lange Loch and the Flatzer Loch, attract visitors. The chosen route to Gösing uses the Pecher and Jagd trails.

Roadbook
From the Naturpark Sierningtal parking lot, an inconspicuous trail leads up the slope. The trail is repeatedly marked with small stone cairns and Pecherhäferln. With a map, we used the Open Street Map map, and an altimeter, route finding was very easy for us. At about 800 meters elevation, a small sign is attached to a pine tree: Heisserloch. We follow the stone cairns again in small switchbacks uphill, past a rock overhang. With light and short climbing, it goes to the cave with a visitor book. Afterwards, we go back along the path to the pine tree with the sign and continue southwards, first moderately uphill. At the fork to the Nase (about 730 meters), it then goes steeper towards the rock - keep left here. Climb all the way up to the rock and continue steeply under the rocks to the right until the border marking and around the rock. Now steeply through the pine forest, first straight, then in switchbacks uphill to a meadow. Follow the trail. This meets a path that leads to the marked hiking trails and to the summit of Gösing.
For the descent, we choose the marked hiking trail towards Stixenstein. In the valley, you follow the brook back to Sieding.
