About 14 km distance, 750 m descent and 900 m ascent are on the schedule today. Unfortunately, the weather is not as nice as the previous day, so rain jackets come into use. From the Mödlinger Hütte, follow trail no. 601 eastwards, partly on a forest road, partly cutting across it. Stay in the valley parallel to the road—do not follow the signpost to Wirtshaus Donner. Only at the Wirtshaus Kölbl is the road crossed, and then it goes uphill again (still trail no. 601). At the junction to Hochtor keep right and continue always on trail no. 601 until the Heßhütte.
