From the summit station of the Gerlitzen summit cable car, follow the flat mountain ridge (path no. 6) past the English Tower (Observatory) to the German Tower (Stone Tower) with the architecturally unique viewing platform. Here, staying at the same altitude, keep to the right, cross the slope to the Alpengasthof Pacheiner, and there join the trail to the Pöllinger hut (path no. 176). Essentially, the path leads downhill through the piste area to the Pöllinger hut. The sun-drenched terrace invites your thighs for a culinary break before continuing via the steeper piste path (path no. 52) and the Waldtratte to the summit station of the Kanzelbahn cable car.
