Galgenberg Path

From the starting point at the Ellwangen Schießwasen parking lot, walk past the Ellwangen wave pool and the Campingplatz Azur to Rotenbach. Here you walk straight on to the Gasthof Linde and then turn right. At the next junction, turn right again and then keep left. At the next two forked paths, keep left until you reach the oil mill. Here the path leads slightly to the right into the forest. Follow the trail until you reach a larger forest path and turn left here. This meets a road after a few meters, which you follow a bit to the left until you turn right towards the glass sawmill. After the houses of the glass sawmill, follow the path left uphill to Eggenrot. In Eggenrot, first follow the street Zu Glassägmühle and at its end turn left onto Patriziusstraße. Follow this to Rosenberger Straße and then continue right. Leave the village and walk parallel to the road until the path leads back into the forest. After the Oberen Rettersweier, turn right and then immediately left. Past the sports facilities, the hiking trail leads right and in a curve to the Galgen memorial. Follow the path back to the city, down Nibelungenweg, turn right onto Haller Straße, right again onto Rotenbacher Straße, and left to the starting point.
