G.15 Breitspitze

By car or bus, you reach the Stausee Kops parking lot. Cross the dam here, then walk a bit along the shore path and turn right towards the Breitspitzbahn. First follow a narrow trail and then a well-marked path across flat terrain until you reach the Breitspitze. On the summit, you will be rewarded with an impressive view far into the Montafon. Alternative: clockwise to the Faulbrunnalm; from there continue to Weiberhimml and back to Galtür via the Himmlpfad. Return: the same way back to the Kops parking lot, or after about ½ hour at the junction, turn right slightly uphill towards the Alpkogelbahn. (Please note the operating hours of the mountain lifts for the return trip!).
