Where the Ursprungsbach flows together with the Bacherbach lies the lonely Furtalm, surrounded by spruce and larch forest.
Steeply rising in the background are the peaks of the imposing Rieserferner group, almost framing the small, secluded alpine pasture.
A "Furt" is a shallow, flat spot where the terrain can be easily crossed.
The landscape is deeply snow-covered in winter, long shadows lie over the narrow valley, and the sun can hardly penetrate the landscape in winter.
All the more romantic is the atmosphere, hardly a sound is heard; furthermore, the quiet and calm benefit the wildlife.

Tips and suggestions
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/FurtRoadbook
At the starting point there are plenty of parking spaces, which are free of charge in winter but paid in summer.
From the bus stop "Unterstatt," the path runs past the cross-country skiing centre "Rein in Taufers," along the creek dam to the snack station "Säge." Here the bridge over the Bacherbach is crossed, and the winter hiking trail no. 7 runs orographically right; with moderate incline mostly through the forest, you reach the Furtalm in 50 minutes (from Säge).
The return route follows the forestry road leading here, which joins path 8B near the Eppach farms.
At the bus stop "Schule" you can already board the regular bus or walk 2 minutes further back to the starting point.
