The Fuchspfad leads through the Erfurter Steiger to the NaturErlebnissGarten Fuchsfarm and the large forest playground. It especially invites families with children to hike.
The circular hiking trail leads visitors on family-friendly paths to particularly worthwhile places of the Steiger. The Fuchsfarm offers diverse educational programs on nature and environmental protection as well as sustainability for children and other interested guests. At the Domblick viewpoint, a special view of Erfurt Cathedral and Severikirche opens up through the treetops of the Steiger. At the end of the round, the large forest playground in the Steiger awaits the little hikers with varied play equipment.
For visiting the Fuchsfarm and the playground, it is best to plan enough time.

Roadbook
We recommend starting the circular hike at the Stern - the hiking hub of the Steiger. The Möbisburger Marktweg leads you from there about 1 km directly to the NaturErlebnissGarten Fuchsfarm. To the right, the path goes past the Fuchsfarm to Hochheimer Grenzweg and finally onto the Holzweg, over which you reach Domblick after 2 km. Through the Hopfengrund, it goes downhill and to the right along Silberhütte to the Steiger ascent. Here a path leads right back into the forest. It is only 400 m to the forest playground. Back to the Stern, follow the path once again for 1 km through the forest.

Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
You can comfortably travel to Erfurt with Deutsche Bahn.
Bus line 60 takes you at least hourly from morning to evening from the main station to the Rhodaer Chaussee stop and back again.
Current bus stop timetables for line 60 can be found here or on the EVAG website.
Alternatively, the Steiger and circular hiking trail are also accessible on foot from the main station. In this case, we recommend the Steiger ascent at Silberhütte as a starting point.

Directions
Coming from the A4, take exit 46 "Erfurt-West" and continue on L3004 and Arnstädter Chaussee towards Erfurt. Turn left into Rhodaer Chaussee and follow it for 200 meters to the parking lot on the right side.
Parking
You can park free of charge directly on site at the parking lot at Stern in Rhodaer Chaussee.
