At the end of Sooßer Hauptstrasse, past the many Heurigen, there is a large parking lot - from there many paths lead to the various Lindkogel. A particularly beautiful ascent goes over the 3 Zipfenden Weg, which is not so easy to find. Therefore, one should definitely study the large display board carefully, which is located at the end of the parking lot, in front of the entrance to the forest. Once you have found the correct turnoff, you walk a beautiful path uphill under umbrella pines. After about 25 minutes, you reach a viewpoint with a resting bench - the Pagler Felsen.
It takes about an hour in total to get to the Vorderen Lindkogel, which lies at 666 meters. Up to there is a continuous ascent without too steep a slope. Here, Roman Haas has given this place its own atmosphere with a summit cross, benches, and a table.
On the descent via the Grenzweg down to Sooß, many of his benches invite you to rest. The retired bricklayer has made this his passion, and many Haasenbenches can be found in the Vienna Woods, Gutenstein Alps, and even further...
The name Grenzweg dates back to the time of Maria Theresa, during whose reign the forest along this path was divided between the Federal Forestry and private owners on the other side. From the Lindkogel, it first goes steeply downhill, but after about 10 minutes you can walk comfortably through a mixed forest down to the Beethoven hiking trail. Once there, follow the red markings that lead above the vineyards of Sooß back to the starting point.
Training round in a beautiful environment with quite a few elevation meters, or a walk with many breaks and snacks on the Haasen benches.
