From the Iffigenalp via Wildstrubelhütte and Tierbergsattel to Lenk
There are many beautiful hikes in the western Bernese Oberland. The route over the Tierbergsattel, which can be hiked with several variants, occupies a top spot.
The hike starts at the Berghaus Iffigenalp and follows the old Rawilweg towards the Rawilpass. The Rawilweg is carved out of the rock. Equipped with handrails, it runs through the steep wall of the Mittaghorn. You do not follow the path all the way to the Rawilpass but turn left at Stiereläger and ascend to the Rawilseeleni, three small lakes nestled in a magnificent setting. The Wildstrubelhütte is now within sight, but the final climb has it in itself. After the refreshment (or overnight stay), it goes back the same way to the Rawilseeleni and from there up to the Tierbergsattel. There are almost 1600 meters of altitude from here down to Lenk. So the descent seems never-ending, even though impressive natural beauties such as the Rezligletscher or the Flueseeli lie along the way.
