From Spruga via Alpe Saléi to Comologno
In the village center of Spruga begins the ascent to the Saléi area, passing through small hamlets like Tabid and Pian Secco with the typical rustici of the Onsernone valley. After Alpe Pesced, the path runs along Mount Munzelüm, from whose slopes one enjoys a beautiful view over the Onsernone valley. At its foot, among rocks, meadows, and rhododendrons, lies Lake Saléi, which invites you to a refreshing swim on hot summer days. Downhill, you shortly reach the Alpe Saléi hut, ideal for a short break. The descent continues along Piani della Galera and Val Lavadina to Ligünc, from where it goes on to Capellino and Comologno. Notable sights in Comologno are the Palazzo Gamboni, a beautiful 18th-century building now serving as a hotel, the Palazzo della Barca, where during the last world war personalities from across Europe found refuge, and the parish church Chiesa parrocchiale built at the end of the 17th century with five altars.
