From Seelisberg via Bauen and Isleten to Flüelen
The two stages are part of the Swiss Path, which runs along the western half of Lake Uri. The hiking trail leads from Seelisberg first down to Bauen, then on to Isleten, and finally to Flüelen.
The Swiss Path leads in four stages around Lake Uri. This historic hike can even be made family-friendly by including a boat trip. The hike presented here connects the first two stages: From Seelisberg we walk via Bauen to Flüelen. The hike follows a wide path up to Wissig, then goes steeply down to Bauen on an old mule track via 960 steps. Those who want to shorten the hike can board a boat here. From Bauen the path takes us through tunnels and galleries to Isleten and to the mouth of the Isentalerbach. Depending on the weather, windsurfers are often seen here. The path then runs constantly along the water and via Seedorf we reach the Reuss Delta nature reserve. Countless birds and small animals find shelter and food in this protected area. Very close by, the Lorelei bathing islands invite you to swim on hot summer days.
