From Lausanne train station, take the metro to the Ouchy district directly on the lake. Around the harbor is something like the tourist center. You could board a boat now, but then you would miss this beautiful stretch of path. The route from Lausanne-Ouchy to Morges runs constantly along the shore, repeatedly inviting with sandy beaches, lawns, and bathing spots for relaxing breaks. A beautiful finale is the last meters along the flower-decorated lakeside promenade of Morges. Other highlights are the Romanesque church in Saint-Sulpice and in Morges the old town, harbor, and castle. The castle combines four museums under one roof: Vaud Military Museum, Swiss Tin Figure Museum, Artillery Museum, and Museum of the Vaud Gendarmerie.
