The beautiful short route is shaped by the cult site Wildfräuleinstein, where according to legend the Wild Maidens of Hinterstein lived. Once they dwelled in the cave high above the village and befriended the inhabitants of the mountain village, helping them. One even became the wife of a Hinterstein resident, but no one was allowed to know her name; otherwise, she had to leave again. The rock with the small cave fits wonderfully as a mystical place matching the imaginations formed in minds. Children can climb around on the rocks and crawl into rock holes. The Köpfle is a top-class viewpoint directly above the starting point of the route.
