The hike starts in Einigen, where you should visit the famous church before starting. The church of Einigen is one of 12 churches over 1000 years old at Lake Thun. Then it goes straight to the Kanderdelta nature reserve, a floodplain area with a water and migratory bird reserve of national importance. The Kanderdelta is habitat to rare bird species such as the river plover. Between Kanderdelta and Gwatt Deltapark, a short detour to the lakeside meadow is worthwhile; in summer this is a popular picnic and bathing spot. The next nature reserve follows within a few minutes: Gwattlischenmoos. Along the boat canal near the Deltapark there is an observation tower from which nature at the edge of the reserve can be experienced and observed. A larger observation tower stands in the middle of the reedbed. For access, interested parties should contact the Thun Natural Science Society or the Deltapark Hotel.
