From Aschbach to Eggerhof

From the valley station, take the cable car up to Aschbach, 1349 m. Follow forest road Kaltbrunn (Eggersteig) No. 27A through the high forest. The path runs, initially slightly ascending, towards Eggerhof. At a junction, where there is a wide spot on the forest road, descend through the forest left along the marked path No. 30 (towards Töll). At the end of this path you reach another forest road, follow it shortly uphill to the right to the distinctive hairpin bend where there is signage. Here follow the narrow forest path No. 27 above the Wassertalgraben. The path leads to the chalets of Eggerhof and the eponymous inn (1267 m). It is worth taking a break in the famous “Schnauzer-Stube” before continuing on the path above Eggerhof over the ravine towards Mahlbach. It runs almost parallel to the shown path No. 27. Now you reach the fire pond and viewpoint Mahlbach. Follow the road about 50 m downhill to the signpost, then descend right towards the inn Brünnl. Immediately after, take
