The Friedrich-August-Route connects the Sellajoch with the Plattkofel Hut.
We hike from the hotel to the bus stop at Ritsch and take the bus to Saltria (1690 m) and from there the Florian lift to the William Hut. From there, we hike on path no. 9A over the Marmot Hut and trail no. 527 to the Langkofel Hut (Vicenza Hut) and then turn left onto path 525 to the Langkofel notch to the Toni Demetz Hut (2,685 m). From there, it goes further down towards Sellajoch and over the Friedrich-August-Route to the Plattkofel Hut (2300 m), and back to the William Hut. Return to the hotel by lift and bus.
