Freundorf - Henzing with Bildereiche
Gasthaus Renner is our starting point for the route. Of course, starting in Henzig is also possible.
A visit to the Heurigen in Henzing is also a good reason for this hike, or before a visit to the Heurigen Musser in Freundorf. The route partly leads along the Way of the Cross, we pass a fish pond with various other animals (chickens, goats and 2 peacocks) and at the end, the Bildereiche invites you to a short break.

We park the car along the main road and start at the bus stop on the Ebenweg heading towards Auberg. The path leads us past vineyards and offers a great view over the Tullnerfeld in the upper part. In the upper section along the Way of the Cross, we already walk partially in the forest and at the first large intersection we turn right. Now we stay on this main path and ignore the various side paths. We follow the green markings.
After a short steeper section (always straight ahead at the junctions) we reach Henzing. There we turn left and walk a short stretch along the main road until we reach the town sign. There we turn left again towards the playground. Keep following the path past the fish ponds and then keep right at the fork.
Past the Christmas tree plantation, the path goes into the forest. The path then turns right uphill and we meet one of the main paths on the Auberg. We follow this path for a long stretch and then have to turn right once, arriving via the hunting lodge to the Bildereiche.
Shortly after that, we leave the forest and keep left heading towards the town. Passing the castle, our route ends - with the starting point back in sight.
