For romantics, the somewhat hidden, mysteriously appearing Frauensee is just right! It is freely accessible all year round and is also suitable for bathing during the summer. In summer, the lake reaches an average temperature of 19°C. Above the town of Lechaschau lies the idyllic, small Frauensee.
COSTARIES CHAPEL: One of the most popular small chapels in the Reutte valley basin is the "Costarieskirchele," as locals lovingly call the little forest chapel. Since its construction, it has been a place of inner reflection and a popular hiking destination with locals and guests alike. The little chapel stands on the narrow ridge of the eastern spur of the massive Gehrenspitz massif, half an hour's walk above the Frauensee, close to the forest path to the Sulztal hut and Schaller chapel. The chapel is located at 1157 m above sea level.
Frauenseestube: Kevin and Max Matzner welcome hikers with numerous delicacies.
