Roadbook
We start at the Neusatzer Pfütz heading towards the Kreisstraße, cross it and follow the yellow diamond on the Forchenweg instead of the Höhenrundweg signage. At the next crossroads, we continue to follow the yellow diamond until we reach the fire station Neusatz/Rotensol. From here, the Bachhäldeweg leads us to the next junction. Now we need to be careful and follow the yellow diamond by first turning right and then immediately left. We now pass below a beautiful rest area with a large tree, a picnic table, and a view.
After a short break, we continue to follow the yellow diamond until we arrive at the riding arena in Rotensol. Here you will find a rest hut with a barbecue area. From now on, we follow the white signs with the inscription "Höhenrundweg" as well as the yellow diamond through the forest to the Kreisstraße. We cross it again and walk a short stretch beside the road until a path leads us into the forest.
At the edge of Rotensol in Muttertalstraße, we turn left and follow the path until we reach the gravel road. We follow this to the right and cross Schielberger Straße. At the forest edge, we pass by the new kindergarten and the sports field. The Seerosenteich invites you to a short rest.
We continue along the path at the forest edge. Along the way, you occasionally see the historic Baden-Württemberg border stones. If you look at them more closely, you can see the two coats of arms as well as the year and numbering of the stone.
Shortly before Neusatz, a signpost from the Black Forest Association shows us the path towards the forest edge which we follow. It leads us through a forest that somewhat resembles a primeval forest. After a while, we reach the Kreisstraße, cross it, and follow the path uphill. After a right-hand bend, we can already see the Neusatzer Pfütz again and have arrived back at our starting point.
