Cozy Four-Huts Route at the foot of the Hochkönig over several alpine pastures.
The Four-Huts Route begins at the parking lot in front of Arthurhaus towards Koppalm. From here, go to the right next to the old gymnasium and climb the mountain steeply. Don't worry, the path is only steep for the first section. The path is beautifully located alongside a stream and leads further through the Barbaraschlucht. At the end of the gorge, the path continues uphill towards Windraucheggalm. Here you walk always at the same altitude through the Riedingtal to the old ski jumps where the first ski jumping competitions took place in the 1960s. The waterfalls at the innermost end of the valley are also very worth seeing. From here you then hike uphill again towards the Four Huts. After about 30 minutes you reach Schartenalm, Molteraualm, Brandstättalm. During a cozy break you can enjoy the wonderful panorama and delicacies at the hut. On the way back, there is the possibility to hike via the forest road or via the hiking trail to Koppalm and finally to the parking lot.

Roadbook
By car from Mühlbach towards Arthurhaus. Before Arthurhaus, turn left towards Koppalm. After 200 meters you will reach the parking lot. From here, go right past the old gymnasium through the Barbaraschlucht. At the end of the gorge, you will reach an inn. Here you need to walk a short distance uphill along the main road and turn left at the first opportunity past two small houses. Then it goes up a meadow path to the Windraucheggalm. From here, continue along path No. 85A at the same altitude above the Riedingtal. Passing the waterfalls and up to the four huts. Downhill, there is the option to hike via forest road No. 87, or via hiking trail No. 86 to the Koppalm parking lot.
