This route connects four churches in Aue in one hiking path:
- Friedenskirche - Protestant Lutheran art nouveau church - stamp station Jakobsweg
- St. Nicolaikirche - Protestant Lutheran parish church / neo-Gothic hall church
- Christuskirche - Protestant Methodist church
- Mater Dolerosa – Roman Catholic church
At the Pilgrim Office in the Aue branch of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe there is a stamp station on Kantstraße, directly opposite the Friedenskirche. A detour to the small monastery Zelle towards the Jakobsweg (approx. 1 km from the pilgrim) is recommended.

Roadbook
The city circular route starts at the "Pilgrim Jakobsweg" at the train station in Aue and passes by 4 churches of the town of Aue. From the station, it goes uphill towards Aue Zelle to the Friedenskirche (Protestant Lutheran Art Nouveau church - Jakobsweg stamp station). It is also called the green church colloquially because the roof has turned green.
Going downhill towards the city center, you reach the St. Nicolaikirche (Protestant Lutheran parish church / neo-Gothic hall church), also called the red church because it is built with red clinker bricks. From there you reach the Christuskirche (Protestant Methodist church). Afterwards, it goes uphill towards Brünlasberg to the Mater Dolerosa (Roman Catholic church). Then it goes downhill along the Mulde river towards the train station, back to the starting point of the route.
