Forest educational trail

Before Torfstraße crosses the Hanggraben, follow the signage of the forest educational trail back southwards, after some time cross the tracks of the Fichtelberg railway and after a short open stretch reach the forest edge again. The path turns off at the construction trailer at the forest edge and runs straight ahead for about 750 m southeast. At the next intersection, turn left and again after 75 m. The path now briefly heads northwest again. At the next intersection, turn left. After 30 m you will find a shelter. At this point turn right in a northerly direction. The path meets the ridge path after about 300 m. At this point the signage of the forest educational trail ends. If you follow the ridge path a short way westwards, you will reach Torfstraße again, which leads back in the direction of the starting point Kretscham station.
