Forest Dam Path

From Teisendorf Tourist Info, head west along Poststraße to Forstamtsplatz with the Marian column (Forestry office, former care court, two-and-a-half-story Baroque building with a hipped roof, built around 1600, coat of arms stone from the year of renovation 1733). From there, head south and continue right along Stettener Weg to in front of Moosen (memorial boards), then turn left uphill to the Lourdes Grotto (around 1890); then follow the romantic forest path to Oberteisendorf, passing information boards on local flora and fauna, up Raschenbergstraße to Raschenberg castle ruins (description according to path no. 25), a beautiful viewpoint above the Sur valley and Oberteisendorf; then descend towards Kumpfmühle, crossing the road and stream, turn right to the Kneipp facility (very refreshing!). Now follow the stream downstream to the footbridge and from there to Oberteisendorf Church of St. George (year 1429, church rebuilt 1953/54); pass by the Oberteisendorf guest house (former farmhouse from the 18th century, half-hipped roof on a wooden knee wall - see also town description before path no. 21), then along the Achenweg, cross the B 304 and always along the right bank of the stream downstream, back to Teisendorf.
